The Betwun guide
Create your own bet with your own resolution rules
Have a prediction of your own? Turn it into a bet. You choose the question, what settles it, how much to stake and when the outcome should be checked.
Make the question yours
Start with Create a bet. Write a specific question with a YES or NO answer and choose your side. It can cover a sporting result, a product launch, a public milestone or another event with evidence both sides can check.
You publish the question and conditions directly through the creation form. An opponent decides whether to accept that exact bet and match your stake.
Define what resolves the bet
In Resolution conditions, explain exactly what counts as YES or NO. Name the evidence source, the threshold and the relevant time zone. Include how a cancellation, postponement or missing result should be treated.
For example, a launch prediction could ask whether a named product becomes publicly available by a specified date. The conditions should say whether a preorder counts, which region is included and which official product page provides the evidence.
Choose your stake and schedule
Set the amount you will stake, the deadline for an opponent to accept and the time after which resolution can begin. Resolution must be after the acceptance deadline. Allow enough time for your chosen source to publish the result.
Publishing reserves your stake. One opponent joins on the opposite side with an equal amount. The question, conditions and sides stay fixed after creation, so review them before publishing.
Your conditions guide the verdict
When the bet is due, AI uses the agreed conditions and evidence to propose an outcome. Participants get a 24-hour challenge window while stakes remain held. Disputes go to human review, and a final void refunds stakes.
Writing the resolution criteria gives both sides a shared standard for the result. The verdict still follows the evidence and review process.
From idea to a matched prediction
An unmatched bet can be cancelled, and an unmatched expired bet returns your stake. Once someone accepts, the two stakes stay held through settlement. On a new $10 versus $10 bet with the 5% profit fee, the winner receives $19.50.
Other participants can also back YES or NO in the separate side pool while it is open. The same custom conditions determine its outcome.
